I received my new issue today, and it is fabulous. This is the only magazine I have a subscription to. Sorry about the flashes in some of the photos, but I wanted to highlight some of my favorites. Go buy a copy! Posted by Picasa

These baby blankets are adorable! Posted by Picasa

Classy! Posted by Picasa

A beautiful Mobius. Posted by Picasa

I bought some cute tanks that I can't wear to work. If I made this in white, I might be able to pull it off. I normally don't like shrugs, but this one is for me! Posted by Picasa

This would be great in black or white. Posted by Picasa

Will have to make this! Posted by Picasa

This is definitely a wookie sweater. I love it, but I bet you would be really warm in it. :) Posted by Picasa

This is my textured shawl so far. Lovely! Posted by Picasa

The first fows were two rows of the same color. I then switched to four rows per yarn. I love it, and it is a fun knit. I will not be taking this along with me on my weekend trip to Greensboro and Virginia Beach. I'll take along my two for sale scarves. Posted by Picasa

In non-knitting content, here are my newly washed sneakers with their new laces. I saw these on another knitting blog and thought they would be great. My laces always untied themselves. Now, with my yankz, there will be no more untied laces. Shipping was amazinlgy fast! Woohoo! Posted by Picasa

Tiger keeping cool in our foyer. It seems to be his new favorite spot. Posted by Picasa

This is a nice large triangle garter stitch. The yarn is wool and alpaca and is from ebay. I had finished this a month or so ago. It is on its way to Germany for my grandmother's birthday. She and I share the same birthday. Posted by Picasa

Pattern and yarn picked up from Genuine Purl in Chattanooga. Very easy! Posted by Picasa

Front and back of the capelet. Both Tiger and Miguel love the feel of this cotton/nylon. I think I will need to get more Frisky. Posted by Picasa

Miguel and I went to the Atlanta IKEA store today. It is HUGE! It has its own parking garage, restaurant, and cafe. We saw lots, bought some little stuff, and wanted more. I saw some amazing wall art and a fabulous cherry cabinet I thought would go great in the dining room. Miguel saw a couple of kitchen islands he would love to have. He wanted to find a pot rack, but we didn't find one. If you are so inclined, I would love an IKEA gift certificate (birthday next month). I'm posting this so that when I get asked for a suggestion, I'll remember this. :)

Moda dea Cache scarf. This will be going to a new consignment shop. The owner said she would love to have hand knit scarves for sale. I'll be taking some of my old clothes and some scarves. This was made with two balls and looks more orange in person. Posted by Picasa

I got each of these balls today at Hobby Lobby for $4.44 each. They will each be knit into scarves for sale. Any suggestions on how to decide how much to charge for each one? Posted by Picasa

This Textured Shawl will be for me! I can't wait to see how it will turn out. I'll check the stash and see what other reds I have that I can add to this. I need a plain wool, I think. Posted by Picasa

New bag from Hobby Lobby. I thought it would make a great one or two knitting project beg. Or a cute purse. Posted by Picasa

Maria and I took a mini vacation. We stayed an extra day after class in Tennessee on June 17th. After class in Cleveland, TN, we headed over to Chattanooga for the afternoon and the next day. I set up a Flickr account, and you can see my photos HERE.

Open since April, the Yarn Zone is located in Blue Ridge GA. It is a small shop with a beginning amount of inventory. They had some fabulous local alpaca fiber, already spun. Posted by Picasa

Two skeins of alpaca bought for $19 total. Someone may receive this as a Christmas present. Posted by Picasa

2 x 2 ribbing Posted by Picasa

On June 16th I went to Blue Ridge, GA. I checked out Georgia Mountain Fiber. They were friendly, very helpful, and most accommodating. If you are in the area, please check them out!

Behind the scenes. The shop was remodeling their retail space but they still let me in so that I could buy some fiber. Posted by Picasa

Heavan in bags! The other storage room was floor to ceiling with what must have been over a hundred bags. It was incredible! Posted by Picasa
